Event| 2014 Screen Nation Film & Television Awards – Nominees Announced

The Screen Nation Awards are the first & only industry related Film, TV & Digital Media Awards event celebrating the leading professionals of African Diaspora heritage from the UK and overseas. The 9th edition is set to take Sunday 23rd February at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, London. The star-studded ceremony will be hosted by the hilarious comedian Ali Baba, aka the Godfather of Nigerian comedy and Caroline Chikezie, the Hollywood-based actress and newest star of the iconic 24 series starring Kiefer Sutherland. Don't worry, you'll also be able to see the awards play out on screen with a special broadcast on Vox Africa (Sky 218) in March and across the African continent on the DStv platform.

Actor and director Bill Duke (known for his roles in Commando and Predator) will receive the award for Outstanding Contribution, while the late comedian and actor Felix Dexter will posthumously receive the Edric Connor Inspiration award. Honorary awards will also be given to classic works Do The Right Thing, The Cosby Show and Desmond’s.
