URBAN SCREEN will be holding a special advance screening of Eran Creevy’s 2nd Feature & Executive Produced by Ridley Scott 'WELCOME TO THE PUNCH' at Genesis Cinema, Mile End Road, on Monday 11th March at 6.30pm.
The film has an all-star cast comprising of James McEvoy, Andrea Riseborough, Daniel Mays, Daniel Kaluuya, Mark Strong, Peter Mullan, & Johnny Harris. Eran Creevy will be taking a Q&A on the night following the film at 8.30pm.
'WELCOME TO THE PUNCH' is considered by many as the next big British action blockbuster following 'Skyfall'. The script is a well spun tale of cops, gangsters and political intrigue. But it is not a typical Brit gangster movie. It is so much more than that. The acting is top drawer with Andrea Riseborough as James McEvoy’s love interest. Couple that with the intriguing backstory provided by the veritable crop of gangs, cops and politicians – the likes of which are sublimely played out by James McEvoy, David Morrissey, Daniel Mays, Daniel Kaluuya, Mark Strong, Peter Mullan and last but by no means least Johnny Harris. The action is fast, furious, noisy and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The cinematography showcases London at its best – showing night time aerials, and tracking shots of the Thames and Canary Wharf. It reinforces London as an epic global film location.
