After nearly 100 applications, others involved include Lemonade Money, which produced Broadcast Award-winning Channel 4 music show Four To The Floor, Hive Minds-indie Saltbeef TV and Antidote Productions, the firm behind Professor Green’s BBC3 documentaries.

They will take part in masterclasses and workshops, designed to help them hone their business strategy and international plans. This will help them pitch for investment at an event on 20 May. Indielab founder Victoria Powell said: “Interest in Indielab has been incredible strong with over 100 companies registering their interest.  Our 16 companies are a very strong collection of award-winning and innovative businesses.”

Lemonade Money managing director Faraz Osman said the company is looking forward to getting started. “The TV and video industry is a unique and complex area that is changing at an incredible rate and Indielab gives us a great opportunity to work with some true experts in the field,” he explained.

Antidote’s Leila Monks added: “Taking time out from the day to day of running an indie and focusing on the business and our growth strategy with guidance from some of the best brains in the business will be a real privilege.”

Congrats and good luck to all from SceneTV.
