Written by Gina Prince-Bythwood (Love & Basketball), 'Beyond the Lights' follows the journey of a hot new artist, Noni Jean, who has just won a Grammy and is primied for stardom. However the pressures of success compel her to nearly end her life until she is saved by a young police officer. They fall hard for each other, despite the protests of their parents who want them to focus on their respective careers. But will he be the missing piece to unlock Noni's artistic potential and save her from herself?
Beyond the Lights stars Brit actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw who you might recognise from Amma Asante's 'Belle'. The film has just premiered at the Toronto Film Festival torave reviews and will be coming to cinema screens in November 2014.
