The Screen Nation Awards are back on Saturday 19th March for the 11th year. In the lead up, we'll be highlighting the talented individuals up for the prestigious awards. Next up are the nominees for Favourite Female TV Personality – the winner of this award will be decided by the public so get voting!
Alesha Dixon – Britain's Got Talent
The last year has been a busy one for Miss Dixon. In January 2015 she returned for the ninth series of Britain's Got Talent then followed up with a brand new single The Way We Are, released via her own record label Precious Stone Records. More music followed when Dixon premiered album track Azura (Blue Sky) during Graham Norton's BBC Radio 2 show in May 2015 and album Do It for Love was released in October. Dixon will return to ITV hit Britain's Got Talent in April.
Alison Hammond – Strictly Come Dancing
Alison has definitely made a last impression since appearing on Big Brother back in 2002. Since leaving the house, Hammond has appeared on many television programmes including Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrities Under Pressure and Big Star's Little Star. Hammond became a fan favourite when she participated in the 12th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and even made a return appearance in the annual Strictly Christmas Special in November 2015.
Charlene White – ITN
Charlene is a journalist and presenter who has worked in print, TV and radio as a reporter and producer both in the UK and abroad for the last fifteen years. White became the first black woman to present ITV News at Ten. She was a relief newscaster on ITV News at Ten until the programme's restructure in October 2015. White also regularly writes pieces for the Guardian, hosts galas, events and award ceremonies for select organisations, acts as a mentor for various youth charities and social enterprises and is a patron for Bowel Cancer U.K.
Jamelia – Strictly Come Dancing, Loose Women
Not many people can say they have lasted in the limelight as long as this next nominee. After navigating a successful music career, Jamelia has managed to carve out an impressive television presence on some of the UK's most popular shows. In 2013 and 2014 she appeared on two series of The Voice of Ireland as a coach. and in 2013, Jamelia joined the panel of the ITV chat show Loose Women. She's also played the role of contestent appearing on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive on ITV and the thirteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. Jamelia was partnered with professional dancer Tristan MacManus and survived until week 9. Expect to see a lot more from this Brummie star.
Otlile Mabuse – Strictly Come Dancing
Otlile is a South African professional Latin American and ballroom dancer. She studied civil engineering at university before embarking on a career in professional ballroom dancing. Oti won the South African Latin American Championship eight times, after which she moved to Germany to broaden her dancing horizons. She has earned a number of titles in her dancing career including third place in World Cup Freestyle Latin in 2014, second place European Championship Latin in 2014 and first place in German Championship PD Freestyle Latin.
Mabuse appeared in the German version of Strictly Come Dancing, Let's Dance in 2015 and in series 13 of the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing partnering with boxer Anthony Ogogo. Fingers crossed we'll see her return in the next series.
Rochelle Humes – Xtra Factor
Here's another pop-star-turn-TV-personality! Rochelle began her TV presenting career by co-hosting children's morning TV show Smile from 2004 until 2006. In 2013, she became a regular panellist on the first series of Sweat the Small Stuff, then was promoted to regular team captain from the second series. In August 2013, Rochelle and her husband Marvin Humes joined This Morning as regular stand-in presenters. In 2015, Rochelle began co-hosting Ninja Warrior UK for ITV alongside Ben Shephard and Chris Kamara. More recently, she and Melvin Odoom became the hosts for The Xtra Factor and good news is, she's set to return for the 2016 series.
