In the run up to the 9th Screen Nation Awards, SceneTV will be featuring all of the nominees in the public voting categories. Next up is The Africa Channel who are up for the Favourite Black Channel award.
The Africa Channel launched in the UK and Ireland in 2007 and since then it has been serving its audience with high quality African lifestyle, live news, travel, music documentaries and film content. Programmes are sourced from all around Africa and the diaspora including Kenyan talk show The Patricia Show, US reality show Mary Mary and Nigerian and South Africa soap dramas Tinsel and Scandal. African favourite Shuga starring Chris Attoh and Tiwa Savage and British sitcom Meet the Adebanjos can also be found on the channel. In 2013 the channel even began broadcasting the legendary Brit-hit Desmonds.
