Writers’ Cramp is seeking disabled aspiring writers and would-be script editors for a six-month programme sponsored by Creative Skillset.
Creative Skillset’s last census revealed that disabled talent is underrepresented in the Film and TV industry. Writers’ Cramp aims to address this by finding five new writers and five new script editors to enter the industry to shake things up and get new stories and voices heard.
What’s on offer?
The successful writers will receive four workshops from a dedicated tutor who will help you develop your own script. You will then get one on one personal feedback on your script in the final fifth session. Script editors will receive four bespoke workshops from industry speakers plus two weeks of paid shadowing experience at a production company or shadowing an individual. The workshops will be classroom based and will take place in central London either in the evening or a half-day on a Saturday (to be confirmed with the successful applicants).
