Are you an experienced Camera Assistant with a proven understanding of a studio environment keen to learn and progress within your career to Camera Operation? Do you have the ability to assist the camera crew pro-actively and creatively on a production?

If so, then read on. ITV is currently looking for experienced Camera Assistants to work as part of the client facing Camera team based in Manchester on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be assisting with the rigging, de-rigging and operation of technical equipment. We are not just looking for someone to operate and maintain the equipment, although that is essential, we are also looking for an individual who can deliver outstanding service, demonstrate pro-activity and enthusiasm and work to exceed our clients expectations.

You will have a good understanding of a studio environment and the type of roles and skills required within it. You will also have an awareness and working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation, policies and practices. Proven and demonstrable interest in camera and lens techniques together with basic understanding of camera mountings, dolly, track, and cranes will be required.

What is absolutely key is also an ability to work under pressure, to be creative as well as have the ability to prioritise, problem solve and be a great communicator. You will have a flexible approach, as you will be working to a varying shift pattern which may include evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.

Our sound team is an integral part of making the world's longest-running TV Serial Drama currently in production. We are looking for a fully experienced studio fisher boom operator with a proven track record in a multi camera studio environment to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be instrumental in the acquisition of first class sound for Coronation Street, ensuring that it is captured to the required standard for network broadcast.

You will be responsible for the technical rigging and de-rigging of studios and locations involving working at height and manual handling. You will be responsible for quick reporting of equipment defect or damage and the loading up and safe return of all sound kit.

This role will require you to work within the budget and timescale limitations imposed by the production. There may be times when you are required to multi skill across grades in the sound department in order to achieve full utilisation.

Applicants should have some experience within a broadcast media background. You will have strong studio and location skills on both the fisher boom and pole. You will have a flexible working approach with a willingness to go the extra mile, as there are times that you may be required to work unsociable hours. You will have a keen interest in sound including keeping up to date on new technology and sound capture techniques

This role is based in Manchester but a driving licence is required as this role may involve some travel due to the location element of the role.
