Maverick TV is looking for experienced Self Shooting Producer Directors for a major new prime-time 10 x 60’ documentary/factual entertainment series for E4 following the strangest, most intriguing and funniest cases to come through the doors of British A&E departments. You should have a background in observational documentary – ideally with experience of filming in a hospital environment – but coupled with fact ent sensibilities: a keen eye for character, the ability to script with wit and humour.
Filming will take place at three locations; Dudley, Basingstoke and Isle of Wight. Ideally candidates will be local to these areas or from London where the edits will be based. There will be two PDs at each location working in tandem, each PD will be working with a runner/location assistant and filming will be handheld. You’ll need to be strong in the edit because you will be cutting your own stories; relishing telling exciting, dramatic, often complex stories clearly and concisely, in a way which has maximum impact.
Production will start from mid-May. The contract will initially be for 10 weeks with the potential to extend by a couple of weeks.
If you meet the criteria, please send your CV to:
Deadline is Friday 6th May.
Maverick TV welcomes applications from everyone irrespective of gender and ethnic group but, as members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented on this production, we would encourage applications from members of these groups. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
