African Odysseys present: Legacy Media Institute’s Filmmakers’ Workshop, an LMI-BFI workshop aimed at budding filmmakers of African Descent/Black British.
This is a a two-week intensive filmmakers’ workshop led by multi-award winning filmmaker Tim Reid. The workshop is a unique opportunity to taught by the accomplished Hollywood filmmaker/actor who is well known for his roles in television series Frank’s Place, Sister Sister, and more recently Tremé. His initiative, Legacy Media Institute aims to promote diversity on both sides of the camera and creates a unique exchange where participants collaborate with top Hollywood and UK industry professionals (including cinematographer John Simmons and actor and educator Burt Caesar) to refine their filmmaking skills. At the end of the programme filmmakers will produce a short film, that will be screened as part of African Odysseys in front of a London audience.
