Chewing Gum – E4
Chewing Gum debuted on E4 in October 2015 and was an instant hit. Written by and starring Michaela Coel, the show revolves around Tracey Gordon, a restricted, religious, virgin, 24 year old shop assistant, who wants to have sex and learn more about the world. Michaela appears alongside Robert Lonsdale, Susan Wokoma, Danielle Walters and Tanya Franks. Following the critical acclaim and success of the show, it looks like Chewing Gum will be back for a second run later this year.
The Javone Prince Show – BBC2
From Jerwayne in PhoneShop, to his very headline show on national television. The Javone Prince Show is a a rich mix of stand-up, sketches and live music. It aired in July 2015 and saw Javone pick over the more ridiculous aspects of life in modern-day multicultural Britain.
Venus vs Mars – Sky Living
Venus vs Mars started off as an online web series but made its way to Sky Living in April 2015. Starring Letitia Hector and produced by PurpleGeko the series follow Venus on her quest on finding true love, which is not as easy as it seems.
