Next up is Ria Cherrelle Horsford. Ria plays the feisty Charlene in All About The McKenzies, and it is this role which has earned her a Favourite Actress nomination. With a background in musical theatre, how did she make the transition from the stage to the web?

“I always knew I wanted to perform from a very young age. I studied musical theatre for a total of 6 years but realised I really enjoyed TV and film while being behind the camera on various productions. I applied via StarNow for a role on All about the Mckenzies and got the call to audition. I learn something new with every new thing I do, but being around Samuell in All about the Mckenzies has shown me that anything is possible. He’s so hard working and unafraid. Fear used to hold me back but not anymore."

Fighting words from the young actress who has appeared in stage productions including Love is a Losing Game, Bag Ladies and Soul Sister. On the latter she said:

"My proudest achievement has been appearing in a new musical called Soul Sister, based on the life of Tina Turner, as an all singing all dancing Ikette. This was a challenge because I'm not primarily a dancer but an actress and singer. I’m so proud that I went for it and did so well."

So what’s next?

"The plan is to continue to work, network and meet people, learn and enjoy anything and everything that comes my way, and be grateful and positive because positivity attracts positive things. I hope to continue to grow and be part of more exciting projects."

Finally, when asked why people should vote for her, she said:

"I’d like people to vote and support the movement. The movement that’s allowing people to have the chance to do whatever makes them and others happy. That’s what life's about. Spreading love and working hard, which is what I what I want to continue to do."
