  • Location:  London

A leading television production company are looking for a Development Producer to join the team.  You will be focused on developing factual entertainment programmes, formats and documentaries for all of the major UK broadcasters. You will be reporting to the Head of Development, helping to drive the UK factual slate and overseeing junior team members.  On a daily basis you will be responsible for creating and brainstorming new programme ideas, writing treatments, conducting thorough research, gaining access and preparing pitches.  You will also have the chance to attend Commissioning Editor meetings, and may have the opportunity to produce taster tapes.

This is a role for somebody who is obsessed with everything UK factual, from ‘The Great British Bake Off’ to ‘Hospital’. You must have at least two years solid programme development experience, and although you will ideally be at ‘Producer’ level, the production company would also consider Development APs and Development Executives who have the right experience.

PRODUCTION MANAGER (LIVE STUDIO SHOW)

  • Location:  London
  • Start Date:  May / June 2018

A busy London-based production company are looking for a Production Manager to work across a daily live studio show for a major UK broadcaster.  You will be an integral part of the production, overseeing all logistical aspect for each weekday show. Managing all day-to-day operations across the series, you will be leading the Production Coordinator and Production Runner and looking after budgets, scheduling, workflows, contracts, production paperwork and delivery.  Beyond the initial 3 month contract, there is a high likelihood that you can continue on the series, or alternatively, move across to another of this versatile company’s productions.

You must have previously worked on live studio programmes, ideally ones which broadcast daily, and be confident taking over an ongoing production.  The production company are open to both established Production Managers and Junior Production Managers who hold the right experience.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (FACTUAL TELEVISION)

A leading television production company are looking for a Production Coordinator to join the team.  With a track record of developing their Production Coordinators and offering them the opportunity to work across a wide range of programme, this role has real potential to become ongoing. Initially you will be working across a returning ITV documentary series, with the plan to then work on a high-profile factual series for a major US broadcaster.  Reporting the Production Manager and editorial team, responsibilities will include preparing call sheets and risk assessments, setting up shoots, organising travel and accommodation, hiring equipment, assisting with budgets and completing important production and post-production paperwork.

You will have experience working across a variety of productions within the factual genre, and be confident dealing with changing schedules and last minute requests.  Ideally you will have reached Production Coordinator level, however the production company are also open to enthusiastic Production Secretaries who feel ready for the step up.

PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT (FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME)

At a time of substantial expansion, this television production company are looking to recruit a Production Accountant (either full-time or part-time) to join the team.  You will be working across the company’s versatile portfolio of non-scripted programmes, from documentary to entertainment for both UK and US broadcasters. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for production finance management and budget reporting.  This includes preparing and reviewing production cost reports, supporting Production Managers with budgeting and cash flow forecasts and processing of invoices.

You must have experience working as a Production Accountant across non-scripted television productions and be skilled with accountancy and finance software.  Ideally you will have a recognised accountancy qualification but this isn’t essential.  The production company would also consider Junior Production Accountants ready for take on more responsibility.

At a time of substantial expansion, this television production company are looking to recruit an Assistant Production Accountant to join the team.  You will be working across the company’s versatile portfolio of non-scripted programmes, from documentary to entertainment for both UK and US broadcasters. You will be reporting to the Production Accountant and Head of Production and offering direct support to Production Managers.  You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including data entry, maintaining records of payments and transactions, processing cheques and invoices and preparing purchase orders.

You must have experience working as an Assistant Production Accountant across non-scripted television productions and be skilled with accountancy and finance software.  Ideally you will have, or be working towards, a recognised accountancy qualification but this isn’t essential.
